The project area is located in Mapiripán, a municipality located in the Meta department of Colombia, which sprawls majestically over approximately 1.194.905 hectares, harboring exceptional natural wealth with diverse ecosystems and unique biodiversity but having the third highest national deforestation rate.

The project, consisting of 3 lands, El Paraiso, San Carlos and San Gabriel, with a combined area of 83.608 ha seeks to protect 78.370 hectares of primary rainforest from deforestation and additionally to start an ARR initiative on approximately 4.000 ha, spread across the lands El Paraiso and to a lesser extent San Carlos.

Social impact

We are working closely with the community to empower them and to achieve our conservation and reforestation targets.

Local employment of members and local farmers for seed collection, germination, growth, reforestation and monitoring.
Provide health services to the community as well as education on sustainability and empowerment of women in farming.
Strengthening the small productive projects of local farmers and providing self-sustainable support (production, transformation, transportation and commercialization).
